mirin Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 16, 2026
App: mirin (com.mirin.workout)
Operator: Noobiesoft
mirin is an offline Android workout tracker. It does not require an account or upload workout data to Noobiesoft. This policy applies only to mirin.
Information stored on your device
mirin can store the following information locally:
- Exercises and routines
- Workout history, including sets, weight, repetitions, time, notes, and optional effort ratings
- Daily body-weight entries
- Rest-timer, display, unit, and other app preferences
The home-screen widget reads the same local data. This information stays on your device unless you choose to export, share, or back it up.
Information Noobiesoft does not collect
mirin does not send Noobiesoft:
- Your workout history or body-weight entries
- Your name, email address, or account credentials
- Your location
- Advertising identifiers
- Analytics or crash reports
mirin does not contain ads and has no Noobiesoft cloud account.
Google processes Google Play purchases under its own terms. Noobiesoft does not receive your full payment card number.
Camera
Camera permission is optional and is used only to scan routine QR codes. Barcode detection runs on your device. mirin does not upload camera frames.
You can deny camera permission and continue using the rest of the app.
Notifications and rest timer
If you enable the rest timer, mirin may request permission for notifications, vibration, and exact alarms. Rest alerts are created on your device and are not sent through Noobiesoft servers.
You can deny notification permission. Alerts that depend on notifications may then be unavailable.
Sharing and exports
When you share a routine by QR code, Android share sheet, or mirin:// link, the recipient receives the routine details contained in that item.
JSON backups and CSV workout exports are saved or shared only when you request it. Noobiesoft does not receive a copy unless you send one directly, such as in a support email.
Imported backups are read from the file you select and saved in mirin's local database.
On-device components
mirin uses Google ML Kit Barcode Scanning, CameraX, and ZXing for QR features. These features are designed to run on your device. A Google component may use network access to download a scanning model or software update, but mirin does not send your workout history to Noobiesoft.
Retention and deletion
You control mirin's local data:
- Clearing mirin's storage in Android settings removes local app data.
- Uninstalling mirin removes local app data, subject to Android or device backup settings.
- Exported files remain where you saved them until you delete them.
Google or your device maker may include mirin data in a device backup under their own policies. Noobiesoft does not control those backups.
Security and health information
Protect your device with a screen lock and current system updates. No method of electronic storage is completely secure.
Workout and body-weight entries may be health or fitness information. mirin is a consumer fitness log, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Children
mirin is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in their jurisdiction. Noobiesoft does not knowingly collect personal information from children through mirin.
Changes
This policy will be updated if mirin adds practices such as analytics, accounts, or cloud sync. The date above shows the latest revision. Additional notice will be provided when required by law.
